Information on Lawn Weed Control

CONTROLLING BROADLEAF WEEDS:

1. The best defense against weeds is a THICK LAWN.

2. If you do however have weeds (DANDELIONS, CLOVER). Use SCOTTS PLUS 2, SCOTTS LAWN WEED CONTROL, and SCOTTS STEP 2 or ORTHO WEED- B- GON.

CONTROLLING CRABGRASS:

1. The best way to control crabgrass is to prevent it. Use SCOTTS STEP 1 or SCOTT HALTS PLUS TURF BUILDER. If you do use either of these products, YOU CANNOT SEED FOR FOUR MONTHS. If you wish to seed then you can use SCOTTS STEP 1 FOR SEEDING as an alternative and then you may seed.

CONTROLLING CHICKWEED:

The best way to control Chickweed is to use ORTHO CHICKWEED, CLOVER& OXALIS KILLER.

CONTROLLING VIOLETS:

They are very hard to control but the best way is to spot treat with ROUNDUP. Be very careful not to get the ROUNDUP on grass, annuals or perennials.
