When is the best time to seed my lawn?

There are two good times. Late winter and early spring as soon as the weather permits is one. For new lawns and a lot of seeding the late summer early fall is best.

How do I know if I need crabgrass preventer?

You need it if you had crabgrass or other annual grassy weed last summer and Fall,or just to make sure you just do not get it this year.

How can I prevent broadleaf weeds like dandelions etc.?

You cannot but step 2,super turf plus 2 will kill weeds when they are actively growing.

Why should I fertilizer when we are trying not to cut the lawn as much?

SCOTTS lawn fertilizer is a patented slow release nitrogen to feed your lawn as it needs it, with causing surge growth and extra clippings.

How can I protect my lawn against Japanese grubs?

To protect your lawn against grubs simply apply SCOTTS GRUBEX or BAYER MERIT, at the end of April ot the beggining of May.

When is the best time to water?

From 6.00 A.M to 10.00A.M. But if it is not possible to water at that time then water in the late afternoon or early evening. Do not water late to avoid lawn disease.

Should I keep children and pets off the lawn?

One it depends on what product was applied. SUPER TURF PLUS 2 needs 24 Hours with the product on the leaves to work right. Crabgrass preventer and Fertilizer has to work in so they carry no restrictions. Insect controls have too be watered in so stay off until the lawn dries.

Can I keep leftover SCOTT items?

Yes, just roll the ends of the bag together and tape or twist tie.
